Day 01:

The journey begins with a scenic one-hour drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijal, a popular starting point for treks near the valley. From Sundarijal, the trek to Chisapani takes approximately four and a half hours. The trail leads through the entrance of Shivapuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve, a lush forest area rich in biodiversity. Along the way, you’ll pass through Mulkharka, a small Tamang village known for its traditional charm. The route then ascends through dense forests of oak and rhododendron, offering glimpses of wildlife and mountain scenery before reaching Chisapani (2,300m).

Day 02:

After an early morning breakfast at Chisapani, we begin our trek toward Nagarkot, which takes around six and a half hours. The trail initially passes through Chauki Bhanjyang, a quiet village surrounded by terraced fields and pine forests. As we continue, the trail remains serene and scenic, gradually ascending towards Nagarkot at an elevation of 2,175 meters. Famous for its breathtaking sunrise and sunset views, Nagarkot is perched on the edge of the Kathmandu Valley and offers sweeping vistas of the Himalayan range, including Mount Everest on clear days. It’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy nature after a fulfilling day of trekking.

Day 03:

On the final day, we wake up early to witness the breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas from the Nagarkot viewpoint, one of the most memorable highlights of the trip. After enjoying the views and a hearty breakfast, we begin our drive back to Kathmandu. The drive takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, marking the end of our short yet rejuvenating trek filled with natural beauty, cultural encounters, and peaceful mountain landscapes.
