Chisapani Nagarkot Trekking is popular for the natural beauty it offers during the short span of time. It is a perfect trek for the ones who are willing to explore the natural beauty of Nepal in lesser time. This short trek endeavors the stunning views of countrysides and the landscapes. It is also called Kathmandu valley rim trek, that offers the breathtaking views of the snow clad mountains. Chisapani Nagarkot Trek starts from a short drive to Sundarijal away from the cityscape.

The trail initiates steps leads towards Shivapuri National Park traversing through a big watershed that provides 40 percent drinking to Kathmandu Valley. Further, we head towards Chisapani Nagarkot Trek that offers beautiful nature and village walk experience, natural environment. Not to forget the stunning Himalaya panorama of Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Langtang Himal, Gaurishankar Himal just makes it amazing. Also, we can site Mount Everest in the far distance. The first settlement you will come across is Mulkharka with Tamang habitats. The route heads down the ridge through a forest of oaks and rhododendron to Chisapani (2300m).

Further, the trek heads from Chisapani to Nagarkot that takes approximately about six and a half hours. The major solicitation of Nagarkot trek is the mesmerizing sunrise and sunset views. It lies at an uphill with the height of 2195 meter from sea level on the edge of the valley. Moreover, it offers superb views of the mountains as well as Kathmandu valley. Kathmandu valley is a perfect blend of holy shrines, ancient houses and narrow streets. It is an open museum to all the historical monuments and temples. Best time to visit

February to Mid June, September – November is the best seasons to visit Chisapani nagarkot. Whereas, December & January is Winter and cold can be snow on the trail, July & August is rainy time, trekking can be done but visibility can be poor due to rain.

Day 01:

The journey initiates with a drive from Kathmandu to Sundarijali. It takes approximately about one hour. Further, our trekking jour starts from Sunjdarijal to Chisapani takes about four and half hours. The trail will enters through the Shivpuri Watershed and Wildlife Reserve. The first settlement you will come across is Mulkharka with Tamang habitants. The route heads down the ridge through a forest of oaks and rhododendron to Chisapani (2300m.)

Day 02:

After having our early morning breakfast, we leave Chisapani and start trekking towards Nagarkot. The trek takes about six and half hours. We start from Chauki Bhanjyang, you continue the charming trails leading towards Nagarkot (2175m).The major solicitation of Nagarkot trek is the mesmerizing sunrise and sunset views. It lies at an uphill with the height of 2195 meter from sea level on the edge of the valley. Moreover, it offers superb views of the mountains as well as Kathmandu valley.

Day 03:

Our short trek has come to an end. Collecting all the beautiful memories we head back to Kathmandu. Before heading towards Kathmandu, we will enjoy the beautiful sunrise view from Nagarkot. The rest day at Kathmandu can be spent by exploring the cultural heritage sites.
