Explore the enigmatic realm of Upper Mustang with our captivating 17 days Upper Mustang trek, unveiling the mystique of the ancient Buddhist kingdom known as Lo. Nestled within the rugged terrain, Lo boasts a rich heritage intricately entwined with Tibetan culture, language, and geography, harkening back to its roots in the Tibetan empire. Join Attentive Holiday on an excursion thorugh this ancient and magical land!

Traversing the historic salt caravan route, once vital for trade between Mustang and Tibet, our journey leads to the pinnacle of Upper Mustang, the ancient capital of Lo Manthang. Behold the majestic sight of Lo Manthang's fortified capital from the lofty Lo-La pass, where the towering, white-washed walls stand in stark contrast against the stark landscape, evoking a sense of awe. Step through the town gate into a world of wonder, where narrow alleyways beckon, adorned with hidden chortens and intricate prayer wheels lining the walls. Witness the pastoral charm as herds of livestock meander through the ancient streets, returning from the fields to seek shelter within the city walls. Discover the allure of Lo Manthang's landmarks, including the regal palace and venerable monasteries like the 15th-century Thugchen Gompa. Let Himalayan Arirang immerse yourself in the rich tradition of Tibetan medicine at the Amchi museum and school, founded by the esteemed Amchis who serve as the king's official physicians. Embark on an exhilarating excursion to Chhovar, where Tibetan ponies await to guide you to a hidden monastery and ancient cave dwellings nestled amidst towering rocks. Embark on this unforgettable journey during the monsoon months (June-August), when Mustang lies in the protective rain shadow. However, it's wise to allow for additional days in your itinerary to account for potential travel disruptions caused by inclement weather in the lowlands. While November offers a pleasant trekking experience in Upper Mustang, be mindful of the seasonal migration as residents of Lo Manthang and surrounding areas descend to lower altitudes for the winter months, potentially affecting restaurant and accommodation availability.

Boot today your Upper Mustang with Himalayan Arirang Trek, for an unforgettable experience. Visit ancient monasteries, discover hidden caves, pass by the longest Mani Wall and spend the night at the capital Lo Mangthang all with the Upper Mustang trek 17 days!
