Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek- Explore Nepal's Remote Himalayan Beauty

Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek is a remote and unique trekking route that takes you to the base camp of Mount Kanchenjunga, situated in eastern region of Nepal. At 8586 m above sea level, it is the third-highest peak in the world and the second-highest peak in Nepal. It is located in the administrative district of Taplejung, which shares a boundary with India and China. It contains a full range of natural beauty and attractive things available in different parts of the world. So, it has a wide range of diversity.

Kanchenjunga is one of the conservation areas which is also a restricted area controlled by the government of Nepal. It is protected by the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area and requires both conservation area permit as well as a restricted area permit. With these limits, the spectacular and distinctive local flora and fauna remain in unspoiled shape. Kanchenjunga, a remote and craggy peak, is ideal for extremely brave mountaineers looking for a challenge.

This Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek Itinerary starts from Kathmandu with a flight to Bhadrapur airport from where you will travel to Taplejung in a private jeep. The next day you will again drive to Sekathum which is the trek starting point.

Our 15 Days Kanchenjunga Base Camp Trek takes you to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp (Pang Pema). We will pass through settings rich in waterfalls, rivers, verdant meadows, rhododendrons, orchids, lilies, primula, pine forests, birch, and other vegetation. We will also explore the magnificent Yalung Glacier. We will also have the opportunity to observe local customs and visit the Ramtang and Oktang monasteries. Sherpa, Limbu, Rai, Tamang, and other ethnic groups will meet us with genuine hospitality and authentic tea houses and small lodges for accommodation.

We have to remain alert at all times because this trekking area is home to many endangered Species. Snow Leopards, Red Pandas, Himalayan Black Bears, Blue Sheep, and the renowned Himalayan Monal have all been sighted by people. You should bring a camera because you don't want to pass up the chance to shoot pictures of one of these incredible creatures!
