Additional Info

When is the best time for the Chitwan Jungle Safari Package?

The best time for a Chitwan Jungle Safari package is from October to March which provides optimal conditions for wildlife sightseeing. Chitwan Safari Package is most suitable during the dry season. Weather is stable with clear skies, mild temperatures which is best for spotting wild animals.

Following monsoon season, temperature starts rising in the jungles of Chitwan which lies in Terai’s lowlands. The weather becomes dry, forests become less dense and smaller water sources start drying up. The tall grasses start drying up or are cut short by villagers during this time which increases visibility. As the jungles become more open and water sources become limited, overall visibility and wildlife sightings increase near water holes. This makes spotting one-horned rhino, elephants, deers, wild board and even the Royal Bengal Tiger more predictable and easier. April and May is also a good time if you don’t mind the extreme heat and occasional rain during late May. It is also best for photography as animal sightings are at its highest.

Monsoon season is not suitable for a jungle safari package in Chitwan. From June to August, it rains heavily and humidity also increases. Jungles become thick and dense, the grasses become very tall and trails become muddy. Wildlife sighting is also very difficult during these months with dense forest and cancelled safaris due to rain.

Is the Chitwan Jungle Safari Package difficult?

No, the Chitwan Jungle Safari Package is not difficult at all. It is a very easy jungle safari which is perfect for travelers of all ages. Our Chitwan safari package follows a gradual pace with comfortable transportations and relaxing accommodations. You don’t need to perform long hikes and tiring activities. Village walks and jungle activities are also very comfortable. This safari package explores wildlife, adventure and culture in a relaxing way. You won’t have to worry about any altitude related problems as Chitwan national park lies at just around 100 to 300 meters.

Every activity on this jungle safari package is crafted with comfort and relaxation in mind. We aim to provide thrilling wildlife adventure with a relaxing safari. Hence why, our Chitwan Jungle Safari Package is perfect for couples as well as families with children and elders. We arrange your transportation in a standard tourist bus and transfer to your resort in a private vehicle for maximum comfort. It requires very little physical fitness.

Accommodation during the Chitwan Jungle Safari Package

Accommodation during jungle safari holidays is mostly on river side resorts or jungle lodges. During this 1 Night 2 Days Chitwan jungle safari, you will stay in a standard 3-star jungle lodge near the national park. Actually jungle lodges do not operate inside the regulated park areas. They are established inside buffer zones which lie close to the park. Your one night accommodation also includes full board meals.

Are you looking for luxury accommodations? Do not worry, we can upgrade you to luxury 5-star jungle resorts as per your need. Please let us know earlier at the time of booking.

Transportation during Chitwan Jungle Safari Package

Transportation during our 2 Days Chitwan Jungle Safari is on a tourist bus and a private vehicle. You will travel from Kathmandu to Chitwan in a standard tourist bus and get off at the tourist bus park. From there, we will pick you up in a private vehicle and transfer you to your jungle lodge. We use well-maintained and air-conditioned vehicles to ensure maximum safety and comfort of our guests during their transport during the Chitwan jungle safari. It takes around 5 to 7 hours from Kathmandu to get to the tourist bus park in Chitwan and another 5 to 10 minutes to get to your lodge from there.

If the journey by road doesn’t suit you, a domestic flight can be the perfect option for you. The flight from Kathmandu to Bharatpur takes around 20 minutes saving almost 7 hours and is more convenient and comfortable than travelling by a bus.

How safe is this Chitwan Jungle Safari package?

Chitwan Jungle Safari package is completely safe when you follow the rules, regulations and protocols of the national park. Your safety is always our top priority. We make sure everything is safe and comfortable from your transportation, accommodation, fresh meals to all the jungle activities during the safari trip. We carefully select well-maintained transportation, a comfortable lodge and conduct brief orientation describing the dos and don’ts before each activity. During each jungle activity like canoeing, jungle walk, elephant bathing and jeep safari, you will be with expert naturalist guides. Wildlife activities also take place in designated routes based on animal movement tracked by armed park rangers daily.

Now it is very important to follow every protocol and regulation during any kind of jungle activity in the heart of wildlife. You must follow and obey everything that your expert guide tells you. Making loud noises, sudden movements, trying to feed the wildlife all can be extremely dangerous. The safari stays completely safe as long as you abide by the rules.
