Gokyo Valley Trek is one of the most adventurous treks in Nepal and a great alternative to Everest Base Camp Trek. Gokyo Trek lies in Solukhumbu district of Nepal in the Everest region with several Himalayan glaciers collectively called the pristine Gokyo Lakes. A total of 19 Lakes in Gokyo are freshwater lakes at high elevation known as the highest altitude lake system in the world. Gokyo Valley Trek reaches an elevation of 5,375 meters at Gokyo Ri with the breathtaking panoramic views of towering peaks like Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu and the largest glacier of Nepal called Nagazompa.

Day 01:

You will heartily be welcomed by our representative at the Tribhuwan International Airport. From thereon, you will be dropped at the hotel for relaxing. After that, you will be given a brief orientation of the Annapurna Base Camp trek by our representative.

Day 02:

After breakfast, there will be a thrilling flight to Lukla that will fly for approximately 35 minutes. Our car will drop you off to Lukla airport. During this 35 minute flight, you will relish one of the most beautiful air routes in the world, concluded on a hill, surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The stunning aerial views of the Everest region will surely give you chills.
Note: The weather in Lukla can be unpredictable and changes unexpectedly. For this reason, the flight can be canceled or delayed. You will have to head back to your hotel.

Day 03:

After you reach Lukla, our representatives will be there to lead you for the further trek. From Lukla, we will start trekking to Phakding. We trek through Cheplung village from where we catch sight of Mt. Khumbila, the sacred mountain which has never been ascended. Then, the journey starts with the trek from Phakding, for this, we will have to cross the river to continue the trek. We will walk through the beautiful rhododendron and blue pine forests. We pursue the trail north up to the valley of Benkar. From Namche Bazaar we get to see some of the stunning views of Mt. Everest and Mt. Lhotse. We will stay overnight at teahouse.

Day 04:

We would stroll around the beautiful Namche Bazaar and spend the entire day acclimatizing here. Namche Bazaar is a prosperous village here in Khumbu region with facilities of ATM, internet cafe, shops, restaurant, with a vibrant market. Our guides will help you stroll around the beautiful Namche bazaar. We can also visit Sagarmatha National Park for some stunning sceneries and to enjoy the breathtaking views of sunrise and sunsets. Moreover, we can also trek to Khumjung village, a beautiful settlement of Sherpa people.

Day 05:

It takes approximately 5 hours to reach Dole from Namche Bazaar. After having our early morning breakfast. We head towards Dole. The trail offers clear views of snowy peaks, mountains, and vegetations. Also, you will get to explore the culture and traditions of the locals. Their simple lifestyle and unique culture will surely amaze you. Farming and happens to be the major occupation of Dole people. Overnight at the guesthouse.

Day 06:

After having an early morning breakfast, we head towards Mochermo. Crossing Dole, we head to Mochermo which is on the way to Gokyo. On the way, you will get to see the stunning views of the valley. It takes about 6 hours to reach Mochermo from Dole. Ascending the terminal moraine of the Ngozumpa glacier we finally reach Mochermo. Ngozumpa glacier is one of the major attraction here as is it enlists in the world's second largest glacier. Overnight at the guesthouse.

Day 07:

Today our destination is Gokyo. After having our early morning breakfast, we move ahead towards the wonderful Gokyo village. The trail is via the Ngozumpa glacier where the paths that lead there are crinkled. Not to mention, the trail offers jaw-dropping up-close views of Mt. Everest, Mt, Lhotse, Mt. Cho Oyu, Mt. Amadablam, Mt, Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Kongde and many more on the way to Gokyo. Situated on the northern coast of Dudh pokhari, the village looks incredible. Overnight at guesthouse.

Day 08:

Today we hike up to Gokyo Ri from the Gokyo village. From Gokyo Ri, you will get to see the stunning view of Gokyo. It is an excellent viewpoint of the Everest region. It takes approximately 4 hours to hike up to Gokyo Ri. From Gokyo Ri, we trek down to Thaknak/Drangnag. Descending for a short hike we reach Thaknak which is near the Ngozumpa glacier. Overnight at the guesthouse.

Day 09:

A strenuous awaits us today on the way to Dzongla. After having our breakfast, we move towards Dzongla. Ascending up steep and slippery terrain to Cho La pass we take the trail via Phedi. We move ahead through several abysses and boulder-strewn areas on our way to Dzongla. Not to mention, we will be rewarded with magnificent views of Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Cholatse, Mt. Lobuche during the journey. Overnight at the guesthouse.

Day 10:

A strenuous awaits us today on the way to Dzongla. After having our breakfast, we move towards Dzongla. Ascending up steep and slippery terrain to Cho La pass we take the trail via Phedi. We move ahead through several abysses and boulder-strewn areas on our way to Dzongla. Not to mention, we will be rewarded with magnificent views of Mt. Amadablam, Mt. Cholatse, Mt. Lobuche during the journey. Overnight at the guesthouse.

It takes about 3 hours to reach Lobuche from Dzongla. The trail leads you through the Cho La pass. The path rewards with breathtaking views of snow peaks such as Mt. Amadablam and Thamserku Chola Tso Lake. Overnight at Lobuche.

Day 11:

After having our breakfast, we head towards Gorakshep. It would take approximately 3 hours to reach there. It is a rocky moraine trail to the Khumbu region. Gorakshep is located below Kalapatthar (5545m) and Mt Pumori (5180m). After having our lunch at Gorekshep we will hike to Everest base camp 5,364 m and back to Gorakshep.

Day 12:

Today we trek from Gorakshep to Kalapatthar to Pheriche. The trek starts with an early morning climb to Kala Patthar. The trail offers some stunning views of sunrise through the snow peaks. The sunrays falling upon the shiny peaks are definitely a worthy watch. The trek offers the spectacular views of snow peaks such as Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Mt. Amadablam and others.

Day 13:

After an early morning breakfast, we start our trek from Pheriche to Tengboche to Namche Bazaar. The trail takes us through the villages, Buddhists monasteries, bridges and some cascading waterfall (3440m). While descending the path, you get to see the stunning views of Mt Amadablam, Nuptse and Thamserku peaks. Finally, you reach Namche Bazaar after the winding trails. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.

Day 14:

The trek initiates from descending through the Namche Bazaar. The trail is steep and can get difficult to walk due to the rocky terrain. Furthermore, after crossing the suspension bridges of Dudhkoshi river, the trail gets more ordinary. Upon arriving at Lukla we rest our sore feet and relax away from all the exhaustion from the trek. Overnight at Lukla.

Day 15:

We can an early morning flight to Kathmandu after having our breakfast. After reaching Kathmandu you can relax and stroll the beautiful capital city. Also, popular as the city of temples, you can visit various world heritage sites here.

Day 16:

Your spontaneous adventure to the Himalayas has come to an end. You will be taking back some best trekking memories along with you. Not to mention, your Gokyo Valley Trek would be a worthy as well as a memorable one. You will leave your hotels and pack your luggage and leave for the airport. Our representative will drop you at the Tribhuvan international airport.
