Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Trek one of the most challenging treks of Nepal, locates in the Khumbu region . The trekking trail lets you delve into the west part of the Everest Khumbu Region. Dwelling through the Tibetan border, there is a natural and high gorge the “Rolwaling” which is also called “the grave” on its explanation of its location by the locals as hidden down between steep ice-giants. This intoxicating and inspiring trek leads you to a faraway destination filled with adventure and the stunning Himalayan views.

Tashi Lapcha requires a special permit for trekking. A moderately strenuous trek with no food and lodging facility to buy on the way makes it a tough one. This riveting trail takes you through Tamang and Chhetri villages including own typical rice fields with magnificent views. During your trek, you will get to see the stunning views of snow clad mountains. An amazing blend of a quiet and eccentric trail of Rolwaling along with the bustling trail of Khumbhu region, the trek is a complete package for the trekking enthusiasts. Rolwaling Tashi Lapcha Trek begins with a drive from Kathmandu to Dolakha and further trek towards Ratomate. On our trail, we pass beautiful villages such as Simigaon, Na gaon. Not to mention, the jaw-dropping views of mountain peaks such as Mt. Gaurishanker, Mt. Cho Oyu and the Mt. Everest makes the journey even more exciting. Also, we get to explore the Yalung Glacier and climb on the training peak of Ramdung Go. While leaving Na Gaon, we climb uphill to Tsho Rolpa Lake (4540m), the largest glacial Lake in Nepal. Other attractions of the trek are the Gaurishanker Conservation Area and the Sagarmatha National Park.

All in all, this trek gives you an amazing opportunity to discover the different facets of the Himalayan lifestyle as it goes from a remote to a rather urban route of the Himalayas. Day 01:

You will heartily be welcomed by our representative at the Tribhuwan International Airport. From thereon, you will be dropped at the hotel for relaxing. After that, you will be given a brief orientation of the trek by our representative.

Day 02:

After having our early morning breakfast, you will have a full day sightseeing plan at Kathmandu. Also popular as ‘the city of Temples’, you can visit the world heritage sites such as Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa, Pashupatinath temple, Patan Durbar Square, Bhaktapur Durbar Square. Explore the beauty of the city, its culture, and tradition on this day. Furthermore, you will be prepared for trekking overnight. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 03:

The journey proceeds with a drive to Dolakha from Kathmandu. The drive takes approximately 4 hours. Located in the central region of Nepal, the historical town of Dolakha is a part of the Dolakha district. After reaching Dolakha, we start trekking towards Ratomate. The trek leads you through the beautiful valleys and the breathtaking sceneries that would certainly make your journey wonderful.

Day 04:

Today the trek head towards Singati. After having our breakfast, we start our journey to Singati via Piguti which takes about 3 hours. The trail follows the gravel road then leading to small villages on the way. Dwelling through the villages, we get to explore their unique culture. We transcend through pine and rhododendron forest. Finally, we reach Singati and stay there overnight.

Day 05:

After having our early morning breakfast, we start our trek to Jagat. Leaving behind Singati Bazaar, it would take about 7 hours to reach Jagat. The trekking trail passes alongside a river and dwelling through terraced farms. We come across many villages where people of the mixed community reside. Traversing through few jungles of rhododendron and wild vegetation we move ahead towards our destination. Finally, we cross a suspension bridge that leads to Jagat.

Day 06:

It takes about 7 and a half hours to reach Simi gaon from Jagat. The initial trail follows a normal even path until it passes through the jungle. Further, the trail traverses through few suspension bridges. Dwelling through numerous villages on our way where can find small teashops and local shops in some of the locations. Finally, we ascend through a steep climb up to Simigaon, It is a village inhabited by Buddhist and few Hindus.

Day 07:

Today the trek to Gyalche leads us through vibrant rhododendron forests, greeneries, and the stunning snow-clad mountain views. The trek route follows the villages of Sherpa people letting you explore their unique culture. We traverse through the beautiful rhododendron forest on the way to Gyalche.

Day 08:

After having our early morning breakfast, we leave behind Gyalche and head towards Beding. The trek ascends uphill through rhododendron forests and wild vegetations. Traversing through the suspension places on few places over the gorges makes the journey even more exciting. Finally, we reach Beding village which is a Sherpa village. We will get to explore the unique culture and get to experience the warm hospitality of Sherpa people.

Day 09:

Today we spend the entire day at Beding exploring the village and its unique cultures. We can hike in and around the area for acclimatization while having panoramic views of snow peaks like Mt. Gauri Shanker and other Tibetan mountains on the Tibetan border. We stay here overnight.

Day 10:

After having our early morning breakfast, we head towards Na gaon. It takes about 4 hours to reach Na gaon from Beding. The trail lets you explore the upper slopes of the valley for Snow Partridge or visit the nearby glacier lake. Further, the trek path slightly ascends along the river bank. The place is an open path with fresh air and the charming sound of the river. Here you can enjoy the panoramic view of the mountains as the trek moves ahead.

Day 11:

Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek is one of the least visited trekking routes located in the Rolwaling region which takes you to the largest glacial lake in Nepal, Tsho Rolpo. The trekking trail leads through the flat and gradually up the path. Moreover, we will be able to witness the beautiful Natural Lake filled with the chilling water of the glaciers. The spectacular views of Menlung and Tibetan Side Mountains make the trek even more worthy.

Day 12:

Today we spend our entire day exploring Tso Rolpo Lake. There will be plenty of time to acclimatize at Tso Rolpo Lake. We stay the entire day exploring the glacial lakes and the stunning views of snow-clad mountains.

Day 13:

After having our early morning breakfast we leave towards Tolumbhu Buka. The trek would take about 6 hours. The trek initiates from the end of Tsho Rolpa and follows the edgeways moraines of Trakding Glacier. Dwelling through the trail, we enjoy the view of the surrounding snowy peaks. Further, we walk along the frozen and slippery path and finally reach Tolumbhu Buka.

Day 14:

Today we embark for Khumbu region leaving behind the Rolwaling region. Ascending on the bank of Drolambau Glacier, we move ahead on a steep trail covered in moraines. Upon reaching the top of Tashi Lapsta La, we will have a jaw-dropping panorama of the Khumbu Himalayas as well as the peaks of Rolwaling region. Further, the trek descends to reach Thyangbo where we'll camp overnight.

Day 15:

Heading towards Khumjung it would take approximately 6 - 7 hours. After having our early morning breakfast, we head towards Khumjung. Located in the sub-Khumbu region, it is the largest Sherpa village in the region. The village locates very near to the Mount Khumbila, which is one of the high Himalayan peaks of Khumbu. Khumjung comprises mostly the Sherpa and Gurung ethnicity.

Day 16:

Today we leave for Namche Bazaar after having our early morning breakfast. It would take approximately 2 hours to reach there. Descending through downhill the trail leads us through the picturesque village of Khunde and via Hotel Everest View (3962m), the highest operating hotel in the world, we reach Namche Bazaar. Namche Bazaar is a prosperous village here in Khumbu region with facilities of ATM, internet cafe, shops, restaurant, with a vibrant market. Our guides will help you stroll around the beautiful Namche bazaar.

Day 17:

Today we descend back to Phakding from Namche Bazaar. Heading via Manjo village, we move down to Phakding. Traversing through the Dudh Koshi river, we move past the rhododendron and pine forests. Finally, we reach Phakding.

Day 18:

The trekking days are finally as we head to Lukla. Descending down, we cross the suspension bridges of Dudhkoshi river, the trail gets more ordinary. Upon arriving at Lukla we rest our sore feet and relax away from all the exhaustion from the trek. Overnight at Lukla.

Day 19:

We can an early morning flight to Kathmandu after having our breakfast. After reaching Kathmandu you can relax and stroll the beautiful capital city. Also, popular as the city of temples, you can visit various world heritage sites here.

Day 20:

Your spontaneous adventure to the Himalayas has come to an end. You will be taking back some best trekking memories along with you. Our representative will drop you at the Tribhuvan international airport.
