Day 01:

Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be greeted by our professional guide and driver, who will transfer you to your hotel. This day is dedicated to acclimatization and exploring the charming Paro Valley. Visit the historical Paro Rinpung Dzong, a fortress-monastery that showcases Bhutan’s rich heritage, and the National Museum of Bhutan to get an introduction to Bhutanese culture and history. Enjoy a relaxing evening in Paro, preparing for your adventure ahead.

Day 02:

Your trekking journey begins today as we drive you to the starting point at Damchena. After a scenic drive, you’ll start your 5-6 hour trek to Jele Dzong, situated at an altitude of 3,400 meters (11,155 feet). As you ascend through pine forests and meadows, take in breathtaking views of Paro Valley and, on clear days, catch a glimpse of Mount Jomolhari. Upon arrival at Jele Dzong, explore the monastery before relaxing at the campsite with spectacular mountain views.

Day 03:

Today’s trek takes you to Jangchulakha at 3,780 meters (12,400 feet), about 5-6 hours from Jele Dzong. The trail winds through dense forests of oak and rhododendron, providing a perfect opportunity for birdwatching and nature photography. Keep an eye out for grazing yaks and colorful birds. The campsite at Jangchulakha is surrounded by magnificent mountain views, offering an unforgettable evening under the stars.

Day 04:

 

 

Your journey continues with a 5-6 hour trek to Jimilangtso, a high-altitude lake at 3,880 meters (12,730 feet). As you make your way over ridgelines and meadows, enjoy spectacular vistas of snow-capped peaks. Jimilangtso Lake is a peaceful spot, perfect for reflecting on the beauty of Bhutan’s nature. The campsite here offers the chance to spot wildlife such as blue sheep and black bears, making it an exciting experience for nature lovers.

Day 05:

 

Today’s trek is a shorter, 4-5 hour hike to Simkotra Lake, where you can enjoy incredible views of the Jomolhari and Jichu Drake peaks. As you hike through alpine forests and wildflower meadows, you’ll be surrounded by Bhutan’s pristine wilderness. The area is also a haven for birdwatchers and photographers, offering ample opportunities to capture the stunning beauty of Bhutan’s landscapes.

Day 06:

 

Your trek from Simkotra to Phajoding takes about 5-6 hours, passing through beautiful forests and offering expansive views of the Paro and Thimphu valleys. Phajoding, at 3,750 meters (12,300 feet), is home to an ancient monastery that is a significant pilgrimage site for locals. After visiting the monastery, enjoy a peaceful night at the campsite, surrounded by breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains.

Day 07:

On the final day of the trek, descend to Thimphu, Bhutan’s capital city. Upon arrival in Thimphu, relax and explore the capital’s key attractions, including the Tashichho Dzong and the Buddha Dordenma statue.
