What are the permits required for Jugal Himal Trek?
For the Jugal Himal Trek, every trekker requires the Gaurishankhar Conservation Area Project (GCAP) Permit and the TIMS Card. So, a total of two permits are required for Jugal Base Camp trekking. The trail lies within the protected region so you need to obtain the conservation area entry permit for legal trekking. Also, the TIMS card helps officials to track your details, route and movement in the trail for safety purposes. In case of an emergency they study your personal as well as trekking details to locate and rescue you. Permit fees directly support the conservation of biodiversity of GCAP and sustainable development of the trails.
