Langtang Village After the Massive 2015 Earthquake
Langtang Village is the largest village between Syabrubesi and Kyanjin Gompa. Nestled in an altitude of 3,430 meters, this village is a must stop destination while trekking in Langtang valley. The massive earthquake of April 25, 2015 swept away the old village and is now rebuilt 100 meters away from the old one. The houses were rebuilt by the locals again preserving Tibetan-influenced heritage using stones, prayer flags, and so on in the hope of reviving trekking tourism that collapsed with the earthquake.
