12 Days Annapurna Circuit Trek Itinerary

12 Days Annapurna Circuit Trek Itinerary with Attentive Holiday Tours & Travel begins from Kathmandu with a drive to Chame via Besisahar. You will be driving till Chame and from there onwards you will start trekking. From Chame the trek moves toward Pisang through the Marshyangdi River valley. Over the next few days you trek through villages like Manang, Yak Kharka, Thorang Phedi and cross Thorong La Pass which is the highest altitude which you reach.

Once you cross Thorong La Pass you now move towards the spiritual temple of Muktinath situated at an elevation of 3,800 m. From there you trek to Jomsom via Kagbeni with views of Nilgiri peaks. This is your last day of trekking as tomorrow you will drive from Jomsom passing the villages of Marpha, Ghasa, Tatopani, Beni, Kushma and Nayapul before finally reaching Pokhara

Day 01:

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu, our representative will be waiting to pick you up and transfer you to your hotel. While in Kathmandu, you may catch glimpses of the distant Himalayan range, including the Langtang Himal. After checking in, take some time to rest. Later, you can explore the Thamel Bazaar. Overnight stay at your booked hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 02:

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before checking out. We'll begin our journey by driving to Beshishar, where you'll have opportunities to see the beautiful Annapurna and Manaslu ranges. As you proceed to Chame, the Annapurna range, including Annapurna II, Annapurna III, and Annapurna IV, will come into view. The drive is quite long, but it offers breathtaking views of the Nepalese countryside. Upon reaching Chame, check in at the tea house or guesthouse and unwind. You can also take advantage of the nearby hot springs! Dinner and overnight stay at the tea house/guesthouse.

Day 03:

After breakfast and check-out, we embark on our trek. As you make your way through the Marshyangdi Valley, you'll have striking views of the Annapurna II and IV, Pisang Peak, and other surrounding peaks. The trail typically takes around 5-6 hours, with some moderate ascents and descents. After a rewarding day, we'll reach Lower Pisang, where we'll have dinner and overnight at the tea house/guesthouse.

Day 04:

Following breakfast, we continue our journey towards Manang, one of the largest settlements in the region. You'll have the opportunity to see the Annapurna II and IV, Gangapurna, and other peaks as you make your way through beautiful landscapes. The trail may include some steep sections, and it's advisable to take it slow to acclimatize to the altitude. After 6-7 hours of trekking, we'll arrive in Manang, where you can rest and rejuvenate for the next day. Dinner and overnight stay at the tea house/guesthouse.

Duration: Approximately 6-7 hours
Day 05:

Today, we stay in Manang to acclimatize to the high altitude. You can catch more views of Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna, and other peaks. The day's trekking difficulty is relatively low, allowing you to explore the area at your own pace We’ll also be making a visit to the old Braga Monastery on this day and explore the surrounding area. Dinner and overnight stay at the tea house/guesthouse.

Day 06:

After breakfast, we depart from Manang and continue through the village, crossing a stream. You'll continue to have breathtaking views of the Annapurna peaks, as well as other surrounding mountains. The path offers stunning views and is moderately challenging. After a good day of trekking with incredible views and meeting the occasional yak we reach at Yak Kharka. Dinner and overnight stay at the tea house/guesthouse.

Duration: Approximately 5-6 hours
Day 07:

Following breakfast, we'll trek uphill towards Thorang Phedi. You'll have panoramic views of the Annapurna range, including Annapurna II, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna, and others. The trek typically takes around 3-4 hours, and you'll need to be cautious about altitude sickness symptoms. We’ll plan to cross the Thorang La Mountain Pass the next day in the early morning. Himalaya Arirang advices to take a good rest as tomorrow will be one of the toughest days! Dinner and overnight stay at the tea house/guesthouse.

Day 08:

After an early breakfast, we embark on one of the most challenging days of the Annapurna Circuit trek. As you ascend the Thorong La pass, you'll be rewarded with incredible views of the Annapurna range, including Annapurna II, Annapurna III, Annapurna IV, Gangapurna, and other peaks! The ascent is steep and challenging, with rocky terrain. It's important to be prepared for the strenuous effort. Descending the Pass is quite steep but the views are incredible. We make way for Muktinath a small village located near a famous Temple. Dinner and overnight stay at the tea house/guesthouse.

Duration: Approximately 7-8 hours
Day 09:

Enjoy breakfast and prepare for our last day of trekking! As you descend from Ranipauwa village, you'll have impressive views of the Nilgiri Peaks, including Nilgiri South and Nilgiri North. As you follow the Kali Gandaki River, you'll be surrounded by the peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. The trail involves a mix of descents and flat terrain. First we’ll pass by the apple orchards of Kagbeni. The trail leads further with ups and downs until ultimately reaching Jomsom. Dinner and overnight stay at the tea house/guesthouse.

Duration: Approximately 5-6 hours
Day 10:

After breakfast, check out from the tea house or guesthouse. Will drive back to Pokhara via jeep, where you'll be transferred to your hotel. The drive is long and after trekking the Annapurna Circuit it feels good to sit instead of walking. Along the way we get to see some of the last views of the Annapurna. Once in Pokhara, you can enjoy the sights and activities in this beautiful city. Spend the night at the hotel in Pokhara.

Day 11:

After breakfast and check-out from the hotel in Pokhara, A tourist bus will take you back to Kathmandu. Transfer to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. After arriving back Himalaya Arirang will transfer you back to your booked hotel in Kathmandu. At the evening we organize a special thank you and farewell dinner in a traditional Nepalese restaurant. Spend the night in your booked hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 12:

The general best time for the Annapurna Circuit Trek is during spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November) seasons. You get the safest conditions for trekking as well as the prettiest views. Annapurna Circuit Trek Difficulty Level

The Annapurna Circuit Trek is a high altitude trek of strenuous difficulty. The trekking days are longer and you reach higher altitudes in the Annapurna region. The terrain is also diverse with lush forests, river valleys, arid desert-like terrain and steep ascents as well as descents. You need to cross the Thorong La Pass at an altitude of 5,416 m which is the highest altitude on the trek and also very demanding. On average you need to trek for 4 to 8 hours and around 16 km per day. This requires a moderate level of physical and mental fitness.

They run out of cash frequently, suffer power outages and sometimes reject international cards. Withdraw enough cash from either Pokhara or Kathmandu to be safe since ATMs are unreliable beyond Pokhara.
